Welcome! I'm Jennifer Franklin, daughter of Senior Exercise Central founder Logan Franklin. I'm honored to continue the mission my father began: helping older adults build strength, mobility, independence, and lifelong fitness through practical, evidence-based advice.

I grew up with movement, strength, and healthy habits as part of daily life. My background includes gymnastics, kickboxing, yoga, strength training, and decades of coaching and teaching fitness.
I also spent ten years living in Austria, where I taught fitness and kickboxing classes, while raising two children in the beautiful Alps.
Now, as a senior myself, I understand that staying active after 50, 60, and beyond is not about perfection. It’s about strength, mobility, confidence, independence, and feeling good in your body.
I believe fitness should be realistic, encouraging, and sustainable.
You don’t need extreme workouts. You don’t need miracle supplements. And you definitely don’t need to feel bad about where you’re starting.
What you do need is clear information, simple steps, and the belief that you can improve at any age.
My work focuses on five key pillars of healthy aging:
Together, these habits support not just a stronger body, but a healthier, more resilient life.
Over the past several years, my work has expanded beyond fitness coaching into the science of behavior change. I became fascinated by a simple question: Why do some healthy habits stick while others fade away?
That curiosity led me to study the neuroscience of habit formation and to collaborate with experts in psychology, neuroscience, nutrition, exercise science, and behavior change to develop comprehensive wellness programs focused on long-term health.
Together, we created evidence-based courses that combine practical fitness with strategies for managing stress, improving nutrition, sleeping better, strengthening social connections, and building healthy habits that last. My role has been to translate complex science into simple, practical steps people can apply in everyday life.
Today, I bring that same approach to Senior Exercise Central. Exercise is one of the most powerful tools we have for healthy aging, but it's even more effective when it's supported by daily habits that help us stay consistent for the long term.
Senior Exercise Central already has years of valuable content created by my father. My goal is not to erase that history, it’s to preserve it, organize it, and build on it.
I’ll be adding fresh articles, videos, exercise ideas, and practical guidance for people who want to stay strong, mobile, and independent as they age.
Whether you’re just getting started or returning to exercise after time away, I want this site to feel like a helpful, trustworthy place to begin.
I'm so glad you're here.
Whether you're just beginning your fitness journey or looking to stay strong and active for years to come, I'm honored to be part of it.
Take a look around, subscribe to the Gray Iron Fitness Newsletter, and join me as we continue Senior Exercise Central's mission: helping older adults build strength, mobility, independence, and lifelong fitness.
