Hula Hooping Gave Me Abs at 57!

by Jennifer Gordon Franklin

I watched a YouTubked like fun. So, I ordered a "fitness" hoop online and a nice, foam-covered, large hoop arrived at my home. It is important to get an adult-sized hoop or you will suffer trying to use a kid's hoop.

It took a couple of tries, but once I got the rhythm down it was a lot of fun. It is a great workout too. I put on some music and started to hula-hoop regularly. It really engages the core and I felt it after 5 minutes.

That was about 5 months ago. What makes me keep coming back to hooping is that you can learn other ways to hoop quickly. That gave my other body parts a workout and my brain!

I have graduated to a dance hoop and I hoop dance daily. There are so many ways to dance with a hoop and I keep wanting to learn more.

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but I am proof you can.
