Still at it at age 74

I started working out in my teens. Joined a gym around 1959 when a senior in high school but it went out of business a year later. Then mostly worked out at home but had a lot of lapses. I have been the most dedicated since I retired in 1999.

In 1985 however I was working nights and joined L.A. Fitness when they only had one gym in Covina, Calif. Been a member ever since and at a $50 a year renewal I sure get my money's worth. I can't always keep this up but my goal is to do spinning 4 times a week at the gym. Then light weights and bands twice a week in my little gym in the garage and yoga once a week.

I've had several medical procedures in the past few years that have stopped me from my routine but I am always back at it again. I feel my best physically and mentally when I keep up my workouts.

I'm the oldest person in my spin classes now and hope I can keep at it. My very best to all of you who are still keeping at it or even just starting out. Heck I didn't start spinning until I was 60. Just took it easy and little by little got better at it. Now I'm on the down slide on the curve but still hanging in there.

Good luck all!
